Patricia Mary Jones
Patricia Jones is a Health Educator with several years of specialised training and practice in smoking cessation. She is also a registered Hypnotherapist and Bowen Therapist.
Patricia has cutting edge knowledge, experience and training in smoking cessation. She has conducted in excess of two hundred smoking cessation courses and seminars in the ACT over the past eight years. She also provides training for health professionals in understanding and treating nicotine addiction.
Patricia’s training in nicotine addiction and smoking cessation includes courses at the University of Sydney, Quit Victoria, Quit South Australia and attendance at national and international conferences.
Patricia is a founding member of The Australian Association of Smoking Cessation Professionals, and a member of the Australian Hypnotherapists Association and the Bowen Therapists Association of ACT/NSW.
In May 2005 she was awarded the ACT Healthpact award for ‘Outstanding Individual Contribution to Health Promotion in the ACT’ for services to smoking cessation

Co-ordinated TAFE Outreach courses for local community. Liaising with TAFE Outreach Co-ordinator, local community members and teachers to establish an employment oriented courses, eg in the use, production and sale of medicinal herbs. Liaised with other community members to successfully gain funding for community development and educational courses in community management, furniture making, small business, pomiculture design. Outcomes included formation of a local co-operative of furniture makers, and a number of individuals pursuing further education in various areas such as horticulture, accounting, counselling, natural therapies.
